Since when you provide consultancy services about Spain?
My professional career started with a private company centered in Spain. After working at this company for a long time, I’ve decided that I can use experiences and knowledge I had at my own company. As Nergis Translation and Consultancy, we are providing consultancy services to foreign companies from Spain and other countries, where Spanish language is used, willing to invest in Turkey since two years. Among our services, new markets research for Spain and Turkey also takes place. Besides, by offering business development projects to investors, we provide trade support like business follow ups, distribution, representation to increase the efficiency and functionally of existing agreements.
What does Spain mean for Turkish entrepreneurs?
Spain, regarding both geographical and cultural structure, presents important similarities with Turkey. The resemblances of warm and sincere attitude that Spanish people show in both business and social life with Turkish people effect positively the trade relations. Compared to other European countries, Spain’s most distinct feature is close dialog and their positive approach on face to face business.
What are the indispensables to be successful in the Spanish market?
The most fundamental rule to be active in the Spanish market is to be able to provide a professional service. The most important factor is to create quality business. I advise Turkish entrepreneurs with maintining the service policies they promised at the beginning by providing quality products or services to create successful and permanent business in the Spanish market. Also, while preparing the basis that’ll provide efficiency in trade relations, it would be a positive step to present the most fundamental feature of Turkish people, hospitality and invite them to our country.
What would you like to say about the consumption culture and preferences of Spaniards?
Considering purchasing quality product or quality service as the basic factor, Spaniards’ consumption culture is based on quality principle more than brand. Turkish entrepreneurs can offer durable, quality material and work but not much heard products with an elegant presentation to the appreciation of Spaniards and so add Spaniards to the client portfolio and begin trade.
What would you like to say to Turkish jewelery sector members working with this country or that’ll do business with for the first time?
Spaniards are interested in gold. You can observe the fact from the gold bracelets and rings they use, just like Turkish people. Compared to most of European countries, Spaniards use more jewels in their daily life. I can say that this feature is an important factor for Turkish jewelery entrepreneurs begin investing in Spain. An entrepreneur acting taking into consideration facts as tastes and preferences are similar in the global world, specially regarding Mediterranean people, can easily achieve success with investments in Spanish market.
